I never heard of a Flint automobile before.  This one is a beauty.

1914 Model T

Mystic, CT  2020

It has been a number of years since I have been able to attend the annual antique auto show at Mystic Seaport.  Due to Covid19, the number of autos on display was much fewer than in previous years, but so were the crowds.  I think this is a Model T.

Liberator

Mystic, CT  2020

The last time I visited the seaport, there were no identification on this ship.  Repairs must be nearing completion now, which included a new paint job.  Now seen is the ship's name, Liberator,  a training vessel owned by the US Merchant Marine Academy, in Kings Point, NY.

Ship Carvings

Mystic CT,  2020

There were very colorful and elaborate carvings that adorned the Kalmar Nyckel and I'm sure there must be some meaning behind them.

Kalmar Nyckel

Mystic, CT  2020

This tall ship recently visited Mystic Seaport for some repairs.  The Kalmar Nyckel is the official tall ship of the state of Delaware and is full scale replica of Peter Minuet's flagship bringing colonists to establish the colony of New Sweden, near present day Wilmington, DE.  Between the years of 1637 and 1644 she made a total of four round-trip crossings, more than any other documented ship of the American colonial era.  Today she serves as a floating classroom and offers sailing opportunities to the general public.  She is owned by the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation.  You can read more about her, here.

Norwich, CT  2020

The local YMCA closed a number of years ago and has sat empty since.  It does look like someone is keeping up with the landscaping though.

Mystic, CT  2020

Here is another current project undergoing repairs at the Seaport's shipyard.  I could find no information on this particular boat.
