I'm amazed at ...I'm sure you're right. I'm amazed at how well these walls stand up. I know there is some skill involved in placing the stones, but it's not like they're actually fitted together. Although they don't look all that solid, some of these walls have stood for hundreds of years out here. A farmer friend said his only sure crop every year was new stones pushed to the surface by frost.
