J.M.W Turner Exhibit 3

The Gros Horloge at Rouen, Normandy
c. 1832
J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851)

The lighting was rather subdued throughout the Turner exhibit in order to protect the watercolors.  However photography was encouraged.  It made it difficult to get good photographs.  A number of these works were either 'studies' or ideas made by Turner and were not considered to be finished works, and therefore were never really meant to be seen.
