 The Velvet Mill is actually an old velvet mill, now repurposed into a space that houses cafes, restaurants, a brewery, various artists' studios and other craft studios.  They always have art on display as well.  I found this interesting.

The Velvet Mill is located in Stonington, CT and is really an old velvet mill.  The mill now houses a number of businesses including restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and even a brewery.  On Saturdays there is a farmers market there too.
