Happy New Year

Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT

I know this is a Christmas Tree, and perhaps I should've posted it last week.  We're still in the "holiday" season though, so it's not totally inappropriate for New Years.  As hard as I tried, I couldn't come up with a photo that conveyed the feeling of "Happy New Year".  This will have to do.  Happy New Year to everyone.

    A strange installation (at least for the European eye, ;-)) - is this a shopping mall?

      Happy New Year, Martina. This display is actually in the lobby of the Mohegan Sun Casino Resort Hotel. It's one of two local gambling casinos here in Connecticut. The casinos are always lavishly decorated, even more so this time of the year.

      Now I can puzzle over which are Christmas decorations and which are the usual ones, ;-)
      I say the Christmas tree and the golden globes and cones are the Christmas part, the rest is the every day stuff.
