New London, CT 2015
The Capitol Theater on Bank Street in New London has been closed since 1974. I'm sure that at one time it must have been the center of entertainment in the city. Today, only the murals on the boarded-up entrances, depicting the stars of stage and screen, give any hint that there is a theater inside.
Quite a nice composition, Ed. Closed since 1974 and yet still there? Wow. Wouldn't you love to sneak inside to see what it looks like?
ReplyDeleteLike Jack, I would love to see inside. Sad that a theater closed up like this. Fine looking murals, but I'm not sure young people today have any idea who Charlie Chaplin was.
