Sky Writing

Niantic, CT  2017

I wasn't sure if I could capture this or not.  Skywriting has come a long way from the time when a single plane or two would do acrobatics to write out messages in the sky.  Now five planes flying in formation actually create a huge, flying dot-matrix printer in the sky, releasing perfectly timed puffs of smoke to form the letters.  This skywriting is common along the the Connecticut shore in the summertime and advertises one of the huge Native-American owned and operated casinos located near by, The Mohegan Sun.

  1. Hey! I know your post is about skywriting but I have ALMOST finished reading this book...The Wright Brothers by David McCullough. Wow, it is incredible, what amazing men they were! We fly on a plane and see airplanes all the time, we should spare a thought for those guys!
