Norwich, CT 2017
I've always admired the grand homes that are found in Norwich, CT and during the last week of the year, I was able to get out and photograph some of them. At one time, just before the start of the Civil War, there were more millionaires in Norwich than any other place in the world. Some of these homes probably date from that time, or shortly thereafter. Some of these homes are kept up well. Others however have been broken up into of smaller apartments.
Remarkable how the fortunes of cities can change. New Bedford and Fall River were both high end communities in the late 1800s, and they are far from that today.
