Model Engines
Mystic, CT 2020
Missing from this year's expo were the steam powered engines, which normally would be shown operating with live steam. These model engines were being run on compressed air.
A friend of mine restored a 65 hp Case Steam Traction engine, and ran it on compressed air when it was completed. It took a large air compressor on a trailer to run the engine, but it was much cleaner and safer using air on that museum display.
Compressed air, that is what we should all be having with our masks on! :-)
