Old Ford
West Yarmouth, MA
I'm thinking it's a Model T. There were no signs identifying the year or exact model. It sort of looks like a fore runner to popular family station wagons I remember as a kid.
Ed, you are correct. It is a Model T Ford, and it was a forerunner of the station wagon called a Depot Hack. They were mostly used by hotels to pick up people at railroad stations and transport them back to the hotel. They came down Henry Ford's production line just like this. Hard to tell what year, but I would guess around 1920 give or take a few years.
With the b/w processing and the background that doesn't give many hints to modern times the photo looks quite old. Nice effect and nice choice of point of view.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeff. I knew that if anyone would know about his antique, it would be you. ;)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Martina. Somehow, I feel that old, antique cars should only be photographed as B&W.
DeleteWell done, Ed. The B+W is inspired. With the old house behind, it really could be from the 20s, couldn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jack. You'd never know this old Model T was parked next to major highway. I was fortunate not to capture any of today's cars in the photo.
