Merry Christmas

Niantic, CT  2017

For all those who visit this blog today, Merry Christmas!  I awoke this morning to a light snow fall, which I think is just perfect for today.  We got a White Christmas, but not so much as to be a problem for those who travel today, at least not for those of use close to the coast here in Connecticut.  I've heard there were larger snowfall amounts farther inland.  I'm sure that by noon today, most of this snow will have melted.  May all your days be merry and bright and thanks for visiting.

'Tis the Season

Mystic, CT  2016

It's nice to know that Santa can still get handwritten letters.  I haven't checked into this yet, but I would think that in today's connected world, Santa has his own email address and website.  I bet you can even text him.

Holidays at the Seaport

Mystic Seaport, Mystic, CT  2015

During the holidays at the Seaport, if there's a mast....they put a Christmas Tree atop it.   They were still all atop these masts on Jan 1.  I've been told they are all down now.

Christmas in New London

New London, CT  2014

Some of us just don't want the Christmas season to end.  Besides, I just had to get out shortly after Christmas to test out what Santa brought me, a Nikkor 50mm AF-S f/1.8 G.  So far, I don't think the photographer has done this lens justice.

Merry Christmas from Niantic

Niantic, CT

We had a stretch of warm weather this week and all the snow that was here has melted.  There will be no white Christmas here this year.  This scene would've been much prettier with a little snow.  Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate, and Happy Holidays to those who observe their own holiday traditions.
