Exit 82

Waterford, CT  2015

I thought there might be a picture here so I snapped a number of photos. Perhaps I was wrong.   Taken not far from yesterday's post, I thought this was a unique view of I-95 just a little west of New London, CT.  Traffic is always heavy along I-95.

Chamard Vineyards

Clinton, CT  2015

With a free weekend, it was once again time to hit the Connecticut Wine Trail.  Some of the vineyards we visit are really very beautiful places to see, especially  when the vines are green and loaded with grapes.  It's too early in the growing season to seen much on the vines but there are other sites to see at vineyards, like this vintage Dodge pickup truck.  It might be almost as old as I am.

Mack Truck

Mystic Seaport 2014

Each year, Mystic Seaport hosts an exhibit of antique automobiles.  This year's "By Land and By Sea" antique auto show attracted over 100 vehicles all built before the year 1932.  The featured attractions at this year's show were a number of Mack Trucks.  Stay tuned for some more images of all these antiques.

Priam Vineyards

Colchester, CT

Next stop on the Connecticut Wine Trail was Priam Vineyards in Colchester, CT.   You can't miss this place with this bright red wagon parked near the entrance.  It sort of looks like an army field ambulance, like the kind you'd see on re-runs of M*A*S*H, but I could be wrong.  In any event, it does serve well as advertisement for this vineyard.  A very modest and somewhat rustic tasting room was adorned with the sign below, which expresses my sentiments exactly.

I looked around on the Sunday we visited, and other than the staff working the tasting room, I didn't see anyone working.
