Samuel Huntington House

Samuel Huntington, a signer of the Declaration of Independence was born in this house in 1731.  He served as President of the Continental Congress from 1779 to 1781 and later was elected governor of the state of Connecticut in 1786 and served in that role until he died in 1796.
