War Office

Lebanon, CT  2021

Built in 1732, this building originally served a place from which to conduct the mercantile business of Captain Joseph Trumbull.  During the Revolutionary War, Connecticut Governor Jonathan Trumbull conducted over 1000 war councils here. Visitors included George Washington, Rochambeau, Lafayette, and a veritable who's who list of Revolutionary War generals, officers, and politicians.
