The Alamo

San Antonio, TX  2017

It's nice to be back home in front of my desktop computer.  It's much easier posting pictures from my iMac than trying to use my iPad.  I grew up learning about the Alamo, primarily from the Disney version of the events as portrayed on the weekly TV program "The Wonderful World of Disney".  I'm sure readers of my generation can remember Fess Parker's role as Davey Crockett.  This was the first place I wanted to visit during my recent trip to San Antonio.

  1. The Alamo is a very special place, and I have alway had a soft spot in my heart for it. My uncle wrote and co-produced the John Wayne movie, The Alamo. You are too late to visit the movie site in Brackettville. It closed just three years ago, but use to be open to the public for tours.
