Barnstable County Courthouse

Barnstable, MA

This Greek Revival style courthouse was built in 1831 and was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1981.  In front the courthouse stands a statue of James Otis Jr, a Massachusetts lawyer, patriot and pamphleteer whose views eventually led to the American Revolution.

  1. Nice composition, Ed. I wonder if nearby Otis Air Force Base was named after James Otis.
