Barbers Hop

Nashville, TN.  2016

In honor of the Barbershop Harmony International Convention in Nashville, The Rock Bottom Brewery created a special brew.  Between all the various contests and other activities, there were plenty of opportunities  to partake of this special Belgian Pale Ale.  I enjoyed it.

  1. Like the cleaver name of the brew. Lovely sign. Did you try some? What was your opinion? We have a friend who sings in a Barbershop quartet. They travel all over the country to go to contests where they have won some national prizes.

    1. Yes, I tried a pint or two, or three... but who's counting. It was very good. Light and crisp with a hint of citrus, and not overly bitter. A great drink for cooling off in the hot, humid weather of Nashville last week.

  2. I wonder if my son knows of this! He writes for the Beer Connoisseur Magazine, you should look at it online! :-)

    1. I think this was a one-time brew, and I'm not sure how much was made or sold during our convention week. I know I did my share of tasting ;) I'll definitely check out Beer Connoisseur Magazine. A number of my colleagues are really into home brewing and I'm sure they're familiar with this magazine. We are all chemists after all....
