AW Heath Co Building
Waxhaw, NC 2020
One of the most successful mercantile business in Waxhaw was housed in this building from 1906 to 1966. One of the oldest elevators in the country is said to be within.
AW Heath bluiding was built in 1893... I restored the windows upstairs that had been boarded up since 1960s. then the entire block for 15 years . the elevator is opperated by 2.5 inch hemp ropes... that is me in picture in tee shirt...
Fine looking old building. A number of our downtown buildings have become antique malls also.
