What a wonderful collection. Seems to be mostly wooden boats, but wood shrinks when it dries out. Wooden boats are best when used regularly in the water, but not kept in water all the time. Must have been great to see this collection. Love seeing museum collection storage.
I could've spent hours wandering through this building. You're right, most are wooden boats and were donated to the museum. I'll be posting a few more of these treasures in the coming days.
