I didn't realize that surfing was a major sport in your area. Perhaps the owners of these trucks are trying to get it established. Interesting.
I think surfing is more popular along the ocean beaches. Beaches along Long Island sound are not known for producing any waves for surfing, except in the cases of some pretty big storms.
