Essex, CT 2015
It's a busy time of the year, and a number of things have conspired against me to keep me from my regular postings here. At this time of the year, the Essex Steam train runs on weekends as the "Santa Special" and also as the "North Pole Express". The nice weather brought out a big crowd on this day.
Nothing like the romance of steam power on a railroad. Never mind that they are inefficient, polluting, dirty machines that will blacken your clothes. I still love them.
