The Lighthouse Inn used to be a very nice place to stay and have a good dinner. Today it only hints at its former glory having been vacant for a number of years. Nature is encroaching and I'm sure it will take someone with a lot of money to renovate this resort. Signs posted on the property tell of a public auction to be held in October. The property will go to the highest bidder, no matter how low that bid is. I have a soft spot in my heart for this inn, since I spent my first evening in New London here a little over 13 years ago.
Too bad such a nice place is falling into disrepair.
