Street Scene

Portsmouth, NH  2016

I've been away from the blog for a few days, traveling this past weekend throughout New England.  One of our stops was in the city of Portsmouth, NH, which is one of my favorite places to visit in New England.  This downtown is alway bustling with activity, no matter what time of day, or day of the week.

  1. One of the sad things about living in South Dakota is the lack of an Italian community, so the food we have available is lacking in character. Love the flag shown in your photo.

    1. 'm part Italian myself, and enjoy fine Italian cuisine. We have plenty of choices here in Connecticut. That's an Irish flag however, which is similar to the Italian flag. I'm also part Irish, but the Irish are not known for fine cuisine, unless you enjoy corn beef, cabbage and boiled potatoes.

    2. I'm mostly Irish myself. The corn beef and cabbage is American-Irish. In Ireland roast lamb and salmon are much more common. I was surprised to find the food in Ireland to be out standing, and the Guinness is better too.
