Cigar Store Sailor

Mystic Seaport, 2019

Whenever I visited the Seaport, one subject I would always photograph was the cigar store Indian that stood where this sailor stands now.  I'm sure I must have featured the Indian a previous post.  I guess this sailor is now politically correct, but lacks the character of the iconic purveyors cigars in days past.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport

Chicago, Il  2018

It has been a few years since I've flown into or out of O'Hare.  The terminals are looking a bit dated compared to other airports I've seen recently.

Clyde's Cider Mill

Mystic, CT  2017

This is a must see place during the fall if you're ever in south east Connecticut.  Clyde's uses an antique, steam powered cider press to make their apple cider.  They offer both sweet cider and a collection of "hard" ciders, or apple wines along with cider donuts, pies, breads, kettle corn, apples and other tastes of the autumn season.  It is a very busy place on weekends

Birch Trees

Gorham, NH  2016

Birch trees were made to be photographed using black and white film, don't you think?   One problem  I've run across with using film is that I tend to forget to finish the roll in a timely fashion.  This image sat in my Pentax ME Super for a year until I finally got around to finishing the roll and had it processed.

The Morgan in Black and White

Mystic Seaport, 2017

For a change of pace, I like to shoot black and white film from time to time.  Scenes around Mystic Seaport just look right when shot in Black and White.
