Joseph Conrad and Charles W Morgan

Mystic, CT  2015

Each year, Mystic Seaport closes to the public for 6 weeks starting in January.  Before it closed this year, I was able to get some nice shots on January 1.  Notice the Christmas trees atop the masts, a Seaport tradition.  When the Seaport reopens in February, I'll know spring is not far behind.  That's a nice thought to have as we're expecting a storm of "historical proportions" starting today and lasting into Tuesday.

  1. Must be quite a challenge to decorate those trees atop the masts. Good luck with your storm. We are currently hiding out in San Diego where spring is already happening, but we will be back in South Dakota for March, our major snow month.

    1. I've been enjoying your photos from San Diego and I figured you weren't in SD. Enjoy the warm weather and keep the photos coming. I'm expecting to post some blizzard pics soon.

  2. Love these old ships with their tall masts. I've never seen one with a Christmas tree atop it before!
