Statue
I found this fellow watching over the East Garden at Harkness State Park. I think this garden has a heavy Asian influence, as evidenced by this statue. I'm not sure which Asian god this statue represents though. It could be a statue of Buddha.
I thought those were offerings too. I didn't leave an offering, since he seemed to be pretty satisfied with what he has there. Maybe the next time I'm there, I'll leave one. Thanks for the kind words.
I believe this is The Buddha, and I see that many people have left offerings at it's base. Great pictures from Harkness State Park. Well done.
