Blizzard 2013 II

Niantic, CT

The snow weighed heavy on the trees with many branches drooping if not actually breaking off.   These pictures were taken early Saturday morning, and although the snow had stopped falling, the winds were still strong enough to be blowing the snow around.

  1. Ed, hope you have had no problems with the blizzard. Your pictures are excellent. Now you can go make yourself some hot chocolate.

  2. You were at Ground Zero for this storm, Ed. I second Taken's recommendation about hot chocolate. If you prefer brandy, I won't object.

  3. Thanks for the comments. Yes, we did get hit pretty hard here. I didn't go to work today, since Branford was still shoveling out, but with all the rain we had today, I couldn't get out to do any photography. On these cold winter nights, I've taken a liking to a hot Irish Coffee. Spring is not far away though. Pitchers and catchers report for spring training tomorrow!!

  4. Sorry to hear you lost power during the storm. Being without heat in the winter is no fun. Beauty often accompanies extreme weather but danger sometimes lurks. Enjoy that coffee!
