Tunnel


Rocky Neck State Park, Niantic, CT

There are many areas along the coast line in Connecticut where the beaches are separated from the rest of the land by railroad tracks. This requires tunnels or bridges to get across the tracks if you want to get to the beach.  This is the tunnel leading to the East Beach at Rocky Neck State Park.  You don't see such stone work in today's bridges and tunnels.
