Bayside, Queens, NYC
I need to visit New York City more often. There is an endless source of photo opportunities in the city. On this occasion, I was on my way to Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, to watch them take on the Chicago Cubs. I was with my wife, daughter and son-in-law, who is a big Mets fan, as I am. We were celebrating Father's Day, about a month late, but then again better late than never. A big thank you goes out to my daughter who arranged for the tickets. This is the view before descending to the tracks below. It's the best way to get around anywhere in New York City.
Ed, I envy your ability to pop down to NYC. It is a great city filled with interesting and exciting places. But I have to differ with you on your choice of baseball teams since I've always been a Cubs fan. Then Cubs fans are use to disappointment. Just remember Cubs fans rally around the cry, "Just wait until next year." Bet you had a wonderful time on the whole trip. Fine photo as usual.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeff. I grew up in NJ in a family of Yankee fans, and attended my first ballgame with my father at Yankee Stadium in the early 60's. Despite that, I'm a Mets fan. I will admit though, there are no more loyal fans than Cubs fans. They've suffered a long time. I think both the Mets and Cubs will have to wait until next year, this year.
